The first comprehensive bibliographic lexicon of Jewish photographers who lived and worked in Munich illuminates the works of three photographers: Alfons Himmelreich, Efrem Ilani and Jakob Rosner who emigrated in the 1930s to what was at the time Palestine and documented the exciting development of that country over the subsequent decades with their photography. The images show the development of the young state from the point of view of the immigrant. The three photographers depict Palestine / Israel as the pulsating centre of their lives.
